Tiger Termite Control’s Three-Year Fumigation Warranty

Tiger Termite Control’s whole-structure drywood termite fumigations include a three-year warranty. This provides customers with a clear process to follow if evidence of drywood termites is discovered after the fumigation.

The exact coverage, conditions, and exclusions are stated in the written warranty and fumigation agreement provided for each property.

What Does the Three-Year Warranty Cover?

The warranty applies to the structure and target pest identified in the written agreement. During the three-year warranty period, customers should contact Tiger Termite Control if they discover possible evidence of drywood termites.

We will review the reported evidence and determine whether an inspection is needed. If covered live termite activity is confirmed, Tiger Termite Control will recommend and arrange the appropriate corrective action according to the terms of the written warranty.

What Should You Do If You Find Termite Evidence?

If you find swarmers, wings, pellets, or other possible termite evidence during the warranty period:

  • Take clear photographs of the insects and the surrounding area.
  • Save several insects in a sealed container when possible.
  • Record the location and date the activity was discovered.
  • Do not spray or disturb the area before it can be inspected.
  • Contact Tiger Termite Control at (909) 597-6953.

These steps can help us identify the insects and evaluate the reported activity.

Do Termite Pellets Always Mean Live Activity?

No. Drywood termite pellets can remain inside walls, attics, wood members, and other areas after a successful fumigation. Normal movement, repair work, vibration, or changes in the wood can cause old pellets to fall later.

Pellets alone do not always confirm a current infestation. If the evidence is inconclusive, Tiger Termite Control may explain the findings in writing, recommend monitoring, extend the warranty when appropriate, or take another action allowed under the warranty terms.

What Happens If Re-Fumigation Is Necessary?

If Tiger Termite Control determines that re-fumigation is the appropriate corrective action for covered termite activity, the work will be arranged according to the written warranty.

As with the original fumigation, the occupants will need to prepare the property and leave during the process. Tiger Termite Control is not responsible for lodging, meals, transportation, pet boarding, lost time, or other incidental expenses associated with vacating the property.

Does Fumigation Prevent Future Infestations?

Fumigation eliminates drywood termites present inside the enclosed structure when the treatment is performed correctly. However, the fumigant leaves no lasting residue after the structure has been aerated.

This means fumigation does not create a permanent barrier against termites entering the structure later. The three-year warranty provides coverage according to its written terms, but it should not be understood as a guarantee that termites can never approach or reinfest the property.

Are Furniture and Other Loose Items Covered?

Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, the structural fumigation warranty does not apply to loose items fumigated separately, such as furniture, lumber, flooring, or items treated inside a fumigation chamber. These items can be difficult to identify and track after treatment.

Coverage for pests other than those identified in the written agreement should not be assumed.
